What is The Voice?

The Voice is an American singing reality competition television program that airs on NBC. On April 26, 2011, it made its television debut during the spring season.

It seeks to discover undiscovered singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) from entrants aged 13 and above who compete in open auditions.

Voting through phone, internet, SMS text, and iTunes Store purchases of the audio-recorded artists’ vocal performances is used to choose the winner. As a prize for winning the contest, they get $100,000 and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

The show uses a group of four coaches who give performance evaluations and lead their teams of chosen performers through the rest of the season. They also compete to make sure their act prevails, making them the winning coach.

Who is Kelly Clarkson?

Kelly Clarkson is an American singer, songwriter, novelist, and television personality. She gained notoriety in 2002 when she won the inaugural season of American Idol and signed a record deal with RCA.

Her first track, “A Moment Like This,” peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and ended up being the best-selling single in that nation in 2002. It was a part of her first studio album, Thankful, which came out in 2003 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. For her second studio album, Breakaway, Clarkson left the management of American Idol in an effort to change her image (2004).

She made history by becoming the first performer to ever top the pop, adult contemporary, adult pop, country, and dance charts on Billboard. From the show’s fourteenth to twenty-first seasons, Clarkson also coached contestants on The Voice. As of 2019, she has also hosted her own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Why did Kelly Clarkson leave The Voice?

A lot of fans were shocked to learn that longtime coach Kelly Clarkson would not be taking her place in the hot seat when details of The Voice 2022 were originally revealed earlier this year.

From the show’s 14th season, which debuted in 2014, all the way up to its 21st season last year, the singer, songwriter, and television personality had been a regular. After four years, however, the former American Idol champion said that she will be leaving the program in 2022 in order to spend more time with her family.

“I’ve decided this year there’s just (going to) be a couple of changes for me that I can’t say here,” she said earlier this year on an Instagram Q&A session. “I’ve been able to make more time just for me and my kiddos and still be able to work. Just where we can get away on weekends and really do some fun stuff with my kids.

“They only want to hang out with you for so long and that’s now, so I got to take advantage of that,” she added.

While Kelly will undoubtedly be missed by viewers of the venerable singing competition show, there will be some outstanding replacements. Kelly will be replaced in the farthest chair by John Legend, who, behind Blake Shelton, has the second-longest stay on the current panel. Blake’s wife and “No Doubt” singer Gwen Stefani will also return in season 22. In addition, pop singer Camila Cabello will serve as a new judge on the panel.
