Michelle Yeoh is a Malaysian actress born on 6 August 1962 hence she is 60 years old. She gained fame in the 1990s after appearing in several Hong Kong action movies where she pulled off her own stunts. She was originally given the name Michelle Khan in her early Hong Kong movies.

Yeoh was born on August 6, 1962, in Ipoh, Perak, to a Hokkien and Cantonese-speaking local ethnic Malaysian Chinese family. Janet Yeoh and Yeoh Kian-teik, who founded the express bus company Sri Maju and was a legislator for the Malaysian Chinese Association before passing away on November 5, 2014, are her parents. She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, and English with ease.

Yeoh had a passion for dance from a young age and started learning ballet at the age of four. As a primary student, she attended the all-girls secondary school Main Convent Ipoh in Ipoh. She relocated to the UK with her parents when she was 15 years old to attend an all-girls boarding school.

Yeoh later majored in ballet while attending the Royal Academy of Dance in London, United Kingdom. She turned to choreography and other forms of art instead of becoming a professional ballet dancer because of a spinal injury. In 1982, she earned a BA in creative arts with a theater minor.
